太陽系有個大膽嘅想法，見到外面嘅馬灣展覽未講到我哋想表達嘅舊馬灣風景人物，我哋諗緊島上一定會有好多神人影過好多過去，畫過好多從前，拍過好多舊時，收藏好多舊史。
宜家誠邀街坊可以分享你哋嘅作品比我地集合一齊，或者帶你嘅作品/收藏品過嚟講故事俾我哋聽，希望9月可以舉辦到屬於馬灣民間嘅「舊史馬灣」，依家網站同時有個簡單版嘅馬灣介紹。
Share your Old Village Stories to Us
舊村拆建前最後紀錄 Ma Wan Old Village
「太陽系委員會」在2020年秋天時分，跟往常一樣，在舊村閒逛，紀錄了清拆前的舊村景貌，片段珍貴難得。
In the autumn of 2020, we were exploring the historic village and had the opportunity to document the old village scenery before it was demolished. We were able to capture these precious moments during the time.
THINGS TO DO IN MA WAN
青馬大橋及東灣泳灘 Tsing Ma Bridge & Tung Wan Beach
青馬大橋四季景致迷人，在「太陽系咖啡店」@SOLCommittee 可以最佳角度欣賞。東灣泳灘好可能是離市區最近的泳灘，以青馬大橋和汀九橋作為背景，極具辨識度的泳灘。
An iconic Hong Kong landmark, Tsing Ma Bridge is the world’s longest spanning suspension bridge carrying both road and rail traffic. Let’s discover the best viewing spot at our coffee shop @SOLCommittee. Tung Wan Beach is located alongside our coffee shop.
大嶺頭 Tai Leng Tau
馬灣最高點，雖然只有69米高，但沿途能欣賞到青馬大橋、藍色海峽和燈籠洲的優美景色。登山路途輕鬆，由咖啡店 @SOLCommittee 出發，步行10分鐘可到達行山徑入口處，全程來回咖啡店約 30至45分鐘。
Tai Leng Tau is a 69-meter high hill located at the southern part of Ma Wan Island. It offers beautiful views of the Tsing Ma Bridge along the way. The hiking path is easy, it takes a 10-minute walk to reach the trailhead from our coffee shop @SOLCommittee, and the entire round trip from our coffee shop takes about 30-45 minutes.
現代版鄉公所 Modern Local Community
「太陽系委員會」取名靈感來自舊村內的「馬灣鄉事委員會」，店內亦有取材舊村元素。我們希望咖啡店成為馬灣現代版鄉公所，街坊的聚腳地。
“SOL Committee” was named as a reference to the “Ma Wan Rural Committee” in the old village. We have also incorporated design elements from the old village into our coffee shop. We hope our coffee shop could become a gathering place for the local community.

新舊元素結合 A Blend of Old and New
「太陽系委員會」內的陳設來自不同年代、不同地方，都有自己的故事：包括 1910年西雅圖劇院座椅、20年代捷克工業琺瑯燈、美國校園舊式儲物櫃、荷里活電影燈、50年代香港教堂長椅、以及舊村海棠花玻璃板間木門。
除了舊事舊物，太陽系亦不斷推陳出新，其中就在店內孕育了太陽系原創飲品—馬灣可樂
We gather items from different time periods and places. These include old theater chairs from 1910s Seattle, lamps from 1920s Czech Republic, vintage American school lockers, Hollywood movie lights, 1950s local church benches, and the wooden door from the old village.
In addition to these elements, we are also committed to creating new things. One example is our shop hero’s product – Ma Wan Cola.
鳥望台 Hilltop Lookout
馬灣大自然公園集自然、教育、藝術和愛等主題，登上鳥望台可眺望藍巴勒海峽和馬灣島。
Ma Wan Park integrates themes of nature, education, art, and love. The Hilltop Lookout offers breathtaking views of nearby waterways and surrounding islands.

馬灣魚排 Ma Wan Fishing Rafts
西面的淡水灣和石仔灣是馬灣的魚排所在地，可遠眺對岸的青龍頭，是觀賞日落的好地方。
Ma Wan Fish Culture Zone is located alongside Tam Shui Wan and Shek Tsai Wan at the west shore of Ma Wan. It’s a great place to watch the sunset.

芳園書室 Fong Yuen Study Hall
芳園書室是 1900年代前由陳氏族人建造的鄉村私塾，即傳統「卜卜齋堂」。後改建為兩層樓並更名為「芳園書室」，是馬灣首間並早期唯一的小學，現已評為三級歷史建築。
Fong Yuen Study Hall, formerly named “Chan Study Hall”, was first built by the Chan’s before the 1900s as a small rural private school. It was the first and the only primary school on the island at the very beginning. It is now preserved and converted to Ma Wan Heritage Centre.
